while reading and teaching the SAS zoning material it is not clear to me the use of zones 0 and 1. according to the our references:
Zone Group 0:
PHYs in zone group 0 only have access to PHYs in zone group 1
They do not have access to PHYs in any other zone group
Zone Group 1:
PHYs in zone group 1 have access to PHYs in any zone group

does this mean that one of these zones can be used as a default zone, i.e. set everyone to zone group 1 and they can access all other zones?

if i have access to zone group 0 which says i have access to phys in zone group 1 doesn't that default me to have access to all zone groups because zone group 1 has access to any zone group?

i am confused and would like an English translation that can be related to the real world.
